PERMACULTURE GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT: MACKENZIE
by Lucian Toma
"Opportunities matter, commitment is key." ~ Author Unknown
At her own graduation in 2018, guests thought we hired a very expensive company for our food and decor, yet Mackenzie, with our events guru Anna Maria Desipris and other graduates, was the mastermind behind the magic of that celebration. On top of that, the event was 100% zero waste.
She is highly intelligent, learns fast, very creative, extremely organized, great speaker, compassionate, team player, fantastic gardener, problem solver and has lots of class. She also volunteers a lot of her time to heal degraded ecosystems and build community around sustainability. She has not backed down from any hard labor at our new farm (Desert Bloom Farm). We think she is all About And For Sustainability :) We are thrilled to have her on board for our next course starting on August 3rd. She will be managing all the hospitality and facilitation aspects of this course and will also lead the beekeeping and pollinator session.
This is our dream: to experience our graduates succeed and lead the regenerative and sustainable transformation of our shared communities and ecosystems.
Mackenzie is a testimony to the power of permaculture and regenerative education. She understood immediately the opportunities this education creates and committed to take advantage of the power that it gives. We believe she is going to go to stellar new heights with her dreams and in the realm of this work and be a leader in our community and beyond. The world sure needs more and more leaders like her!
You can join this immensely rewarding journey of growth in the realm of regenerative and sustainability work with us. Our Permaculture Courses lay a solid foundation to that path.
